Privacy policy
HONGCOMM is the service name of 주식회사 홍커뮤니케이션 (Hong Communication). ONTHEWAY Co., Ltd. distributes and operates the HONGCOMM audience app. This policy describes information processed for event entry, captions and text-to-speech.
1. Information used
No registration or sign-in is required. The audience app does not ask for your name, phone number or password, and does not record or upload microphone audio.
Entry requests send the event PIN and hall identifier. Caption delivery and speech requests use event, session and caption identifiers, the selected language and voice settings. Internet requests may generate technical records such as IP addresses, request times, response status and errors in server and cloud logs.
2. Purposes
We use this information to locate event halls, deliver live captions, recover captions after reconnection, generate requested speech, troubleshoot problems and protect the service. The audience app does not include advertising SDKs or use this information for advertising tracking.
3. Service providers and international processing
Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide storage, network delivery and server infrastructure. Depending on server configuration, speech requests send caption text, language and voice settings to OpenAI or ElevenLabs. They do not include the audience member’s microphone audio, name or contact details. Provider servers may be located outside your country, and their policies apply to their processing.
4. Retention and deletion
The app deletes temporary downloaded audio after playback or when stopped. Files left after an unexpected app termination are subject to app and operating-system cache cleanup. Event captions are stored on the server for event operations and managed by the event organizer. Technical logs are removed according to the cloud log retention settings. Support email is retained as needed to handle the inquiry; you can request deletion using the contact address below.
5. Your choices and contact
You can view captions without using speech playback. For information about processing, event material retention or deletion, contact info@hongcomm.kr. We may request the minimum information necessary to verify your identity and locate the relevant records.
6. Scope and changes
This policy applies to the HONGCOMM audience app. Separate event registration, administrator accounts and event audio collection are governed by the relevant organizer’s notices. We update this page when features or processing change.
